Matching Gifts
Your employer may sponsor a matching gift program that will match, double, or – in some instances – more than double your gift to the ODU Foundation. Please consult with your employer to see if this service is offered.
Memorial Gifts
A tribute gift memorializes or honors a family member or friend while also supporting Old Dominion University. Gifts In Memory Of (IMO) or In Honor Of (IHO) alumni, friends, faculty, staff and students celebrate the relationship individuals have with the University and their community as they impact the educational experience students and faculty share on ODU's campus each day.
Gift-in-Kind
Gifts-in-kind are an important way of benefiting ODU through a charitable gift to the Foundations. Gifts-in- kind include donations of property other than cash and marketable securities such as works of art, books, equipment, furnishings, automobiles, software and licensing.
Payroll Deduction
Payroll deduction is a quick and easy and very effective to help ODU! The power of payroll deduction is that even small gifts add up! The dollar amount is deducted from your paycheck each pay period so there is no need for you to write a check or send us your credit card information. You can make a huge impact by automatically deducting $2 from your paycheck - that is almost $50 given to ODU over the course of one year!
Annual Giving
The day-to-day operations of Old Dominion University depend on consistent, reliable support from people like you. Annual donations fund important initiatives such as scholarships, student activities and classroom materials. Your annual gift plays a vital role in helping ODU improve academic excellence, enrich the undergraduate and graduate experience, build new research and academic facilities, and give each student a memorable college journey.
Annual giving by alumni, faculty, staff and friends of Old Dominion plays a major role in the school's academic rankings and its ability to earn funding from many foundations. Strong levels of annual giving demonstrate the loyalty and support of the entire ODU community.

Scholarship endowments allow the best students to attend ODU regardless of financial situation and bring students the freedom to pursue the career of their choice after graduation. Old Dominion Athletic Foundation (ODAF)
The Old Dominion Athletic Foundation supports the athletics program through endowments, capital projects and other funding while offering its members social opportunities and special events.
Over the years the ODAF has evolved into an organization that still retains the annual fund as our top priority, but now provide support through endowments, capital projects, coaches retention, enhancement funds all the while offering social opportunities and special events. This growth as well as a desire to unify under a single brand identity that is more closely tied to the university, its mission and athletic department led to the formation of the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation

Real Estate Foundation
Established in 1995, the Real Estate Foundation has taken the lead in the development of the University Village, a 75 acre mixed use development including retail, residential and office buildings.
The results of its work are visible to all in the form of Monarch Way, restaurants, shops, the North Village Parking Garage, the Innovation Research Park, The President's House, Marriott SpringHill Suites Hotel, the University Village Bookstore, Baron & Ellin Gordon Art Galleries, and the Barry Art Museum.
